Upperblue Maps ↓Before you begin
Maps is a specialist desktop application. The public introduction and guides work on a phone; Upperblue Fast is the public phone-oriented conditions surface. Map data access depends on your Upperblue permissions.
Complete a first map task
Begin with a single layer so its source and time are clear.
- Sign in from the public Maps root using your Upperblue account.
- Open the map and choose the earthquake layer.
- Check the layer time selection and select a displayed feature.
- Read the event time, magnitude, source and other provided details before interpreting the event.
Know what the view covers
A selected period, filter or available dataset limits what is shown. An empty map is different from a failed request. Do not infer complete national or real-time coverage from a view without checking its metadata.
Continue deliberately
Use the layers/time guide before combining several datasets. For a quick phone-oriented conditions check, use Upperblue Fast. For programmatic data access, continue to the API or MCP introduction.
